CEO DATELINE - Destination Marketing Association International to change brand

Declination Marketing Association International is shortening its name to Destinations International starting in July, the group announced Wednesday.
In a statement, DMAI board Chairman Gary Sherwin and CEO Don Welsh said the decision was made after an eight-month brand review involving stakeholder interviews, an analysis of the association's operations, and consultation with the marketing agency Miles Partnership.
"We realize we are a trade organization, not a marketing organization," Welsh said. "Our members are the marketers. This is exactly why we felt the need to rebrand the organization."
